Calm and collected at the scene,

I see blue and green that reminds me of serene.

Grain of sands on my toes.

I love the feeling

The ripples of the water

Crashing on my body.

Language is the Foundation

Language is the foundation of our uniqueness 

that we must pass down to our children.  

It is the storyboard that connects us to our culture (tradition, religion, history)

As it tells us of who we are,

Where we came from, 

And what we believe in.  

It is important to know the struggles our people have gone through and will continue 

To do just to live our culture, 

Otherwise the language and culture will be erased.
